Tall Tales about Amatuer Motorcycle Racing

I started riding motorcycles back in 2003, but it wasn’t until 2005 that I rode my first sport bike. Shortly after, I bought a 2005 Honda CBR1000RR., and began riding in the southern California canyons, In mid-2007, I decided to move to the track, and attended several SoCal Track Days events. That same year, I basically gave up riding on the street entirely.

In early 2008, I was invited to become a corner worker for SoCal Track Days. At the encouragement of several members of BigHeadz Racing, I acquired my race license in late 2008, and began racing in the Lucas Oil WERA West racing series in early 2009. After placing 5th, and 2nd in my first race weekend in the Class A Superbike races, I knew racing was for me. Real life got in the way for a short while, but in 2013, I returned to racing with the Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association (CVMA).
